The Kiwi loved sweets yes... But was terribly indecisive. Even though she wanted to take advantage of her employee discount and try something from here she simply could not decide. And so there she was looking at the shelves, nearly a million things running through her mind. She also kept her budget strictly in her head, and if she wanted to be able to afford that tat (it'd be hidden under her business outfit during work hours), she couldn't spend more than ten dollars. So many things though. Cheesecake, lemon tart, cookies, apple pie- were those churros in the far corner? The problem was she was too short and couldn't reach them even jumping. Stupid display.
She jumped twice, before noticing someone restocking the shelves nearby. Her green eyes giving a focused look as she went over and tapped the other on the shoulder. "Excuse me miss? ... I can't reach the churros." She'd also paid attention to the price, She'd probably get herself a small bit of chocolate to go with those as well.
Such was the way her mind was. She was good at planning, it was the unexpected that got her frustrated. Which was also partly why she'd dedicated so much of her brainpower to predicting things... Unfortunatley socialization was still nearly always unpredictable, so she simply tried her best to be polite and appear friendly, even though illogical actions and words confused her so much that she often wound up ignoring them or filtering right straight through them for the important stuff that made sense.

Maya's shift was dragging on today, which was not how her normal shifts in the bakery felt like. She loved the bakery so much more than the cosmetic section. Here she didn't have to deal with bratty teenagers all day. However, this shift was a slow one. It had been more than thirty minutes since someone had swung by and she was bored to death. She was placing newly baked cupcakes on a display shelf when she, from the corner of her eye, saw someone jump. Maya could relate, she was short as hell, she could barely reach half of these shelves. She didn't expect to feel someone tapping her shoulder, so she quickly turned to face them.
Maya's facial expression reflected that of the customer, polite and warm. She looked up at the top shelf, dreading what would happen if she couldn't reach it. "Oh, sure, no problem," she responded, placing the rest of the cupcakes down. She took a step back, looking up at the shelf for a minute. The last thing she wanted was to have to deal with Customer Service if something happened to her or the other girl. She placed a foot on the bottom shelf, pulling herself up. Her small arms reached over, hoping to grasp the tongs, since she wasn't planning on grabbing the churros with her bare hands. When she managed to get a hold of them, she felt her foot slipping underneath her.
