It's early in the morning. The market would be open in few hours and Nesia hadn't finished cleaning the aisles. She should not have started from the bakery aisle, the mere sight of freshly baked goods had stopped her work for several minutes. Well, next time Nesia would make sure that she had breakfast before going to work, especially if she got the morning shift. The young woman promised herself for a late breakfast - or an early lunch, right after she finished mopping the aisles.
Nesia walked backwards, trying to not stepping on the cleaner floor, and gave the cosmetics aisle one last wipe. Now that the area smelled good like fresh pine, she could move to another aisle. Dragging the bucket behind her, the Indonesian walked to the gardening center, humming in a low tune. She never visited gardening center before the market opened - someone else always did the cleaning job in the morning. It looked so different without people that usually occupy the place, the managers who patiently ran this particular area and the customers who were ready to take any of the plants home.
After dipping the mop to clean it, Nesia started cleaning, but paused shortly few times to look at the plants. The flowers, saplings... they even have cute cactii in small pots. Considering that she lived alone, maybe some plants would brighten her lonely flat. But she forgot things rather easily, and she didn't want her plant die because she forget to water it. Raising her arm, Nesia touched one of the cactii. It's so fluffy...
